Happy Sunday, Journeyer!
Wow…what a week…a gloriously busy and FAST week!
It’s that start of Daylight Savings here in the Northeast.
As I reflected on this past week, there were the many moments that I no longer take for granted…colorful sunrises…my wind chimes that have played continuous music in this winter’s consistent breezes…music…laughter…watching The Voice with Hubby…the twinkling lights on my Christmas tree that continue to brighten my home and my spirits in those early dark nights (now that it doesn’t darken until about 7 now, I’ll disassemble the unit this week!)…Patches our pooch cuddling next to me on the couch…sunbeams dancing across the stream that guides my daily commutes…gatherings with friends to catch up or celebrate a birthday…
The Five Facets office is steadily growing and this week has allowed me to witness so many beautiful transformations, Journeyer.
As I reflect on this week and the many transformations taking place for these neighbors, I can’t help but think about the Integrated Energy Therapy®, Reiki and meditation sessions I facilitated.
Though every single session brought me joy in its own unique way, probably the most rewarding confirmation I received was from a woman who had had a migraine every day for two weeks when she attended my Level I meditation class.
In yesterday’s Level II class, she told me that a day and a half after she took that first session and learned how to do basic meditation, her migraine broke and hasn’t returned since.
I continue to be inspired by how each of us has the ability to use our bodies in many ways to help bring healing to itself.
As an Empath, I’ve always felt other people’s energy, and because I wasn’t aware of its effects on me, I often found myself caught up in the negative vibrations of others’ distressed lives.
By raising my awareness, I’m now able to distinguish my energy from that of someone else, which has had a significant impact on my quality of life, not to mention my sanity!
The more I practice and strengthen my own energy field, the freer and happier I am, day in and day out.
The healing powers of your energy are both magnificent and miraculous, Journeyer.
One of the things that makes me happy is helping others, so today I’d like to offer you a few of strategies you can use to help balance and heal your energy.
If you are someone who has been called “sensitive,” as if it were a bad thing, or if you are simply looking to bring a little more calm and ease to your life, here are a few quick things you can do.
Meditation can be done in as little as few minutes or as long as you desire. One of the simplest forms of meditation is simply to close your eyes, imagine your body relaxing, one body segment at a time, from head to toe.
Lastly, focus on your breath as you breathe in; feel the air as it moves across you lips, into your nose, and how it feels moving into your lungs. The relaxation this short process brings will likely carry you away in such a beautiful way that you’ll have no true concept of time. If you’re short on time, set an alarm. I use a chime tone as it helps me end the session in a calm and joyful manner.
That’s truly how simple one form of meditation is!
Some other forms of energy healing you can participate in include massage, body work, acupuncture, or any other form of energy therapy like Integrated Energy Therapy® or Reiki.
Once you see for yourself the positive impact any of these modalities have on your physical, emotional, and spiritual self, you may well want to make self care a bigger priority in your schedules.
I can honestly say that incorporating these modalities into my own wellness plan has changed my life in immeasurable ways.
Lastly, if you missed last week’s guest post, find out how one man found joy following the death of his daughter.
We are actively seeking potential contributors to our weekly Happy Happens column, so if you know anyone who might be interested, please have them contact us.
What about you, Journeyer? What moment(s) brought you inner peace and calm and fed your happy last week!
We’d love to know!
Until next time, yours in hope, healing, and happiness,
