The Kindness of Friends

Annah Elizabeth2 Comments

Last Friday I had surgery to remove my appendix, right ovary and tube.

Thursday evening, one of my pals showed up at my doorstep with Friday’s dinner.

I returned home after the day procedure to find this gift from another friend.

And yesterday another girlfriend appeared at my doorstep with the evening meal for me and my boys.

Loved. Pampered. Spoiled.
With each gift, my heart felt full-to-overflowing with delight and appreciation.
Speaking of happy, Happy Easter, everyone! May your day be filled with sweetness…

  1. Oh, feel better soon! Having been through a few surgeries (with long-ish recoveries), I know how appreciated it is to have good friends and neighbors appear with food!

  2. Thanks BLW! I’m on the mend.

It is common for me to show up with meals for those who are going through a difficult time. I was so tickled (and relieved to know I wouldn’t have to concern myself the night I came home from surgery) to be receiving the generosity of others.
