Thriving in the Face of Adversity

Happy Sunday, Journeyer!

You know how some weeks are super crazy busy, some are super slow boring, and some are just right?

As I look back on this past week, that’s sort of what it looks like to me.

My outside job has been fairly quiet, which is a breath of fresh air.

A friend’s surgery to remove a cancerous breast tumor returned the best possible news.

I received a fun surprise “pay-it-forward” gift from another friend the day after a wake in honor of her newly deceased brother. Knowing how happy the present made me feel brought a smile to her face in the midst of her sorrow.

Warren and I took the time to connect on many levels, including a long-overdue hot tub soak, a dinner date night, and scheduling a mini getaway during my upcoming winter break.

The weather has been a blend of unseasonably warm temperatures and one of the biggest single snowstorms we’ve seen in quite a few years. I used the snow day to continue recuperating from that awful cold.

I took time for self care energy therapy sessions, meditation, and feel-good Hallmark movies; three things that definitely nurture my body and feed my happy.

One by one I tackled my goal list for The Five Facets projects and events, which included finishing the documentation for the upcoming Beyond Bereavement™ workshop a local hospital is hosting.

One of the most exciting pieces of news from this past week is pretty exhilarating, Journeyer.

Have you heard of Thrive Global?

Thrive Global and The Five Facets have much in common, the most prevalent is that we want YOU to live, work, and be well.

“Thrive Global is committed to accelerating the culture shift that allows people to reclaim their lives and move from merely surviving to thriving.”

This change maker is focusing her energies on bringing you what you need to live the best possible life you can imagine.

The life YOU DESERVE, Journeyer.

I am honored to share with you that I am one of Thrive’s newest contributing authors.

Beneath this calm exterior I’m doing a little hop, skip, and a JIG.

I’ve always said that one of our biggest hurdles in reconciling our conflict and grief lies in not knowing what questions to ask simply because we don’t know all of the options out there.

I am so happy to be a part of this global network, for I’ll not only be able to contribute healing support to others, I’ll be able to bring MORE resources back to YOU!

I truly believe that together we can heal worlds of hurt, Journeyer, and the more we can collaborate, the greater our reach.

You inspire me every day; inspire me to keep learning and growing so I can help you live your best personal, professional, and philanthropic life, even in the face of adversity.

I am honored each and every day to bear witness to the beautiful transformations you are making.

You are what allows me to thrive, even in the face of adversity!

Until we meet again, yours in hope, healing, and happiness,
