At the Intersection of Passion, Persistence, and Partnerships

Happy Sunday, Journeyer,

Life is as Life does, and this week has been a culmination of highs and hopes, lows and losses.

I read a social media post that reminded me of that depressed time in my life when I seemed to perceive my entire life as Depressed.

What continually kept me hopeful, however, were my journals, for when I looked back at each week I couldn’t help but note the many little musings where I shared a smile or some interaction with my children that made me chuckle.

This is one of the reasons I continually encourage writing as one of our greatest healing tools.

Now that I think about it, I might benefit from returning to that more private process. Many of you have commented how open and honest I am here, and I am, but stream of consciousness writing provides us a space to be truly raw and totally unsencored.

It doesn’t matter if we’re writing about how the rains and dreary skies are dampening our moods, our most secret desires for life or relationships, the thrill of a new adventure, or a heartbreak that threatens to split us wide open, writing affords us opportunity to totally let loose every level of emotion.

Speaking of emotion, this week has also been a series of highs and lows.

The lows? Still plugging along, day by day to be aware of those things that are my own culpability in strife, still plugging along day by day to recognize when my instrinsic Self is out of balance and to establish harmony for Me, Myself, and I.

As I’ve worked to grow The Five Facet’s of Healing‘s audience, I’ve refused to let rejection or blocks keep me down for long.

I briefly hang my head in disappointment, lick my wounds, then set about looking for the next possibility, the next opportunity, and the next way I can improve.

Einstein once said, “The distinction between the past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion. ”

It is that persistence that has kept me going when my office has been empty, has kept me going when I feel I have nothing left to give, has kept me going forth in a steadfast belief that my visions will come to fruition, and has kept me buoyed in the knowledge that I am helping heal worlds of hurt, regardless of what Ego expects.

Happy exists at the intersection of passion, persistence, and partnerships.

Persistence does pay off, Journeyer. When we choose to keep going and trying new things and believing…

This week brought me to that crossroads, that connecting place where Neighbors meet Neighbors who share similar goals and visions and hopes.

This week, Journeyer, a friend introduced me to a local coordinator, who ultimately hired me on as an instructor for a local hospital’s continuing education program.

The next day I met with another local spa owner who shares the same vision of integrating awareness and alternative healing. We are collaborating on some wellness events and I’m so excited about the healing we are helping foster!

BAM! “Just like the proverbial Shit happens…” sometimes without advance warning, “Happy happens.™”

Those two events are the electric, PUNCTUATED forms of Happy, those highlight reels that sometimes seem impossibly far off of unattainable.

For the past several months, as I sat down to practice my Intuitive Tarot skills, and to ask the universe what symbols I could use for that day, I kept receiving reminders to be patient.

Instead of succumbing to that little voice that said “Throw in the towel (aka “You’re wasting your time)” I listened to the other voice that said, “Trust; what you desire will come.”

at the intersection of passion, persistence, and partnerships - Trust - trust your efforts image

And so it is, Journeyer.

When we trust, when we direct our energies to our passions, when we employ patience but keep moving forward in persistent fashion, striving to achieve our highest goals and good, we will eventually be aligned with the partnerships and collaborations that will take us and our dreams to the next level.

In the meantime, and ALWAYS, it’s important to remember and to honor all those subtle moments that feed our happy.

For me, it was recognizing how happy the earth is for the much needed soaking rains…

Walking my pooch and Me…

Breezes that caressed my skin and played with my hair…

Tuning in to music of my porch chimes…

Taking a few glorious minutes to sit in the sun on my back deck…

Counting the dots on a ladybug that landed on my hand…

Recalling the childhood stories that an even number of spots would bring good luck…

and grinning as I tried to recall what an odd number meant…

connecting with a couple of people I met at the Master Instructor IET® training…

random Halloween decorations and Jack-o-lanterns seen on my travels…

guilty pleasures like Candy Crush and taped, Hallmark feel-good holiday movies…

working with two new clients…

the continued collaboration with my West Coast Neighbor, Sharon of Grief Reiki, to bring you double the Reiki energy on Mondays and Thursdays…

accomplishing tasks from my to-do list..

morning meditations…

a mother and her fawn drinking from the stream that runs parallel to my drive to work…

velvet morning sunrises of gold and blue and pink and red and violet…

continued cooperation from my students…

Big Guy and his girlfriend surprised Hubby and I with a homemade breakfast…

the satisfaction of accomplishing a task I didn’t think I could do on my own…

taking the time to read a book…

taking the time to catch up on some of my favorite bloggers’ posts…

taking the time to eat breakfast out on my sunny deck…

taking the time to enjoy the views from my three-season room…

warm greetings and smiles from coworkers and strangers alike…

tasty salads…

tasty homemade meals…

tasty take-out meals…

and You, Journeyer.

Every e-mail I receive, every like or comment on social media, and every inspirational or outreach post you include me warms my heart and feeds my happy.
